Arrange independent assurance
Contact MHCLG to arrange independent assurance for your CAF for local government assessment.
Contact us at CAFassurance@localdigital.gov.uk if your council would like to assure a self-assessment.
Assurance will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If there is availability, an NCSC-certified supplier will email you to arrange an onboarding call.
We are currently switching to a new cyber support supplier, so there may be a short break before an assurer gets in touch.
You should continue with your self-assessment while you wait. If you have completed an organisational self-assessment (objectives A and D) and are waiting for assurance, we recommend you start self-assessing your critical systems (objectives B and C).
When to request assurance
Contact us to arrange assurance while you are preparing for and setting the scope of your self-assessment. Your assurer will explain the process during your onboarding call. They will agree on timescales for your assurance review, arrange future meetings and answer any questions you may have.
