Level 4 cyber security technologist apprenticeship – foundation level
Our Level 4 cyber apprenticeship scheme offers you the opportunity to work in departments across government for two years, gaining a foundation level of understanding in cyber security, achieving a Level 4 Cyber Security Technologist qualification on completion and the opportunity to apply to move into a permanent job in a department.
You’ll be able to:
- Earn while you learn: You will gain invaluable experience by learning and applying challenging theory and skills whilst earning a salary. The apprenticeships combine on-the-job training with 20% formal learning.
- Develop your skills: Topics covered include modules on: networking principles, cryptography and encryption, malware analysis, incident management, phishing, threat intelligence and risk assessment.
- Benefit from specialist support. You will be supported by experienced mentors and managers who will guide you through your apprenticeship.
- Create exciting career prospects. There is the expectation that successful apprentices will go on to work in further government cyber posts. You could work in technical areas such as security design, testing, investigations, and response. Alternatively, you could work in risk analysis for cyber operations, risk, governance, and compliance.
